This is Robert Majors, organizer for the 2017 Sacred Peace Walk. I wanted to welcome you once again to this year's Sacred Peace Walk (Friday April 7th to Thursday April 13th), where we will be walking through the beautiful desert to bring our peace to the wounds of its canvass. Together we can create a brighter image in the life around us, and carry this picture across the world. To help us prepare for this pilgrimage, we request that you send us some information (registration form below) beforehand so we can accommodate your needs.
On this journey we will be sleeping and eating together as we walk through the desert. Camping outside is a custom, but beds are readily available with prior notice. Approximately 60 miles will be walked in a total of four days; these walks are optional and you can be present to support in other ways, though walking is strongly encouraged. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are arranged throughout the week. Snacks and drinks are also provided throughout the walk. Transportation is available upon request, and volunteer transportation is always a helpful donation. Port-a-potties will be available for use throughout the entire walk as we journey through the historic desert north of Las Vegas. We request that you bring your own camping gear (sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad, reusable kitchenette kit and cup, flashlight etc...) but we do have extras for people who request them.
We are trying various efforts and methods to increase the revenue to support the Sacred Peace Walk 2017. To help cover expenses we aim to raise $200 per walker this year. Thank you for your generous support.
